Heart for the House is Fila’s annual campaign where each of us can contribute to building God’s kingdom and deepening our trust in Him through generosity and giving.
God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son so that everyone who believes in Him would have eternal life. Out of His infinite love, God gave His Son for me and you—for all of us. Because of this, we can live in freedom, in a living connection with our heavenly Father. We have received forgiveness for all our sins that once separated us from God, and now we can be a light in this world.
Matthew 5:14–16: “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Jesus speaks about how each of us can be a light in this world—and as a church, we can be like a city on a hill. It stands out in the darkness and serves as a safe haven where people can find refuge during the darkest nights of their lives. It is a place where safety and hope abound!
As followers of Jesus, our passion is to see God’s kingdom grow—and every Sunday, we witness how new people give their lives to Jesus. Every month, new believers step forward to strengthen their commitment to Jesus through baptism.
Twelve years ago, God placed a vision on our hearts: to establish a church that would shine as a beacon of hope in our city, especially reaching young people and young adults. Over the years, this vision has grown and been strengthened in miraculous ways. Now, we dream and work hard so that everyone who becomes part of Fila can be supported in their journey of discipleship and deepening faith. One concrete step towards this is the launch of The Way Discipleship School.
Another major focus is on children, youth, and families. Strengthening Fila’s finances is especially critical for this. Every person who joins in building the church through donations or tithes brings us closer to the goal of being able to hire a dedicated worker for youth and/or children’s ministry at Fila.
This year as well, the Heart for the House campaign has two parts.
1. Join the regular giving team
The biblical way to participate financially in building God’s kingdom is by bringing tithes to God. Through tithing, the church and God’s kingdom can thrive, and we as a church can take steps of growth.

2. Heart for the House 2024 Gift
The Heart for the House gift is primarily for those who are already supporting the church through tithes or whose spiritual home is elsewhere but want to support what God is doing in and through Fila. You can give your gift until December 31, 2024.
