We believe the church should be the best place for community, and unified joy, faith, and caring. A piece of heaven here on earth. For us, the church is not so much a church building but rather people who feel they are part of a larger family.
The congregation has been around for 101 years, but the average age Fila Sunday visitor is 25 around years. Younger or older person, you fit right in.
If a church, congregation or God is new to you, you can fit perfectly into the group. With us you are free to believe and hesitate. That’s a part of life.
The best way to learn more about us is to join – either in the form of an online church, in a small group via video, or to serve on a team.
Our Leadership
Pastors Johan & Lotta Forsbäck have been leading the church since May 2012. Both Johan and Lotta carries a strong vision and passion to see christians flourish in all areas of life and church to be the full expression of God’s love to the world through Jesus Christ.
Johan has been serving in Fila Church since 1999, and Lotta since moving to Helsinki 2004. After two years of studies at Hillsong International Leadership College, earning a diploma in Ministry and Leadership the were asked to re-join the leadership team in Fila Church in 2010, and became senior pastors in 2012 succeeding Pastor Kenneth Grönroos.
They have successfully lead the church to be a church for the city, constantly desiring to reach those who have never heard the Good News as well as those who feel far away from church and God.
