Fasting into 2022

Starting on monday 17.1

As a church we want to step into the new year with strength, seeking God and his perspective and thoughts. This is why next monday 17.1 we’re going to start a 21-day fast together as a church.

The main thing about fasting is to intentionally take time for God and for seeking Him. Fasting is simply about withstanding from something, in order to create space for God and spending time with Him through worship, prayer and reading the word. We believe, that fast changes the way we see things and gives us sensitivity to hear His voice. This is why we want to encourage to prepare for the upcoming fast by thinking about how you’d like to join the fasting season this year.

We believe that God has so much more in store for us, that what we can guess or even think or dream of. Let’s raise our expectations and expect Him to move in the midst of us miraculously in ways that we haven’t seen or even experienced before, bringing life and breakthroughs in different areas of our lives.

Our prayer is that His good will would happen in our lives and in our whole nation.

Examples of different fasts:
– Daniel’s fast (including all fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds, quality oils. Foods to avoid on Daniel’s fast: animal products such as dairy, meats, deep fried foods, sweeteners, all processed foods and alcohol.)
– Fasting from social media
– Fasting from shopping
– Fasting from netflix
– Liquids only (max 3 days)
– You can also fast by adding something/doing something less.
